Venet Ski Area
A skiing vacation on the Venet. The small but exquisite ski area with its wide, sweeping slopes not only opens impressive panoramas of the Ötztal Alps, Lechtal Alps as far as the Zugspitze, it also is a secret tip for all lovers of deep snow. Beginners and pros will find ideal conditions for a truly satisfying winter vacation here.
The OUTDOOR ZONE ski school has its headquarters at the valley terminal of the Venet cablecar in Zams. Here you can get both the right equipment and the right ski courses. The mascot penguin named BOBO supports the little ones with lots of fun and action on the terrain of the Children’s Club, dubbed Little Lion Land (“Zwerglöwenland”). Lunchtime supervision is also possible. From 06 - 24 January and 14 - 23 March, your children from 3 - 5.9 years of age can take part in the “Free-of-charge Ski Weeks.”
Backcountry skiing tours and snowshoe hikes in the magnificent, pristine wintery landscape are numerous. Beginners and the more ambitious will find the right tour to harmonize with their personal abilities. At the end of the day, a stopover for refreshment at the primeval Zammer Alm hut or the Panorama Restaurant proves to be as charming as being out in the snow.
A fun-filled sledding party mustn’t be missed either. The Venet Sledding Run Süd laces its way from the mountain terminal towards Fliess.
